Dame Ann Dowling's already solved it with her quiet aircraft designs. Put the money there instead. We already have the capacity- just use it wisely.

We live directly under the flight path and already find the noise and pollution intolerable. At night it is like having tinitus - there is no let up from 4.45 and all our health suffers because of the stress the lack of sleep. When there are so many viable alternatives why would anyone, short of accepting massive backhanders, support the increase in flights to and from Heathrow.

As a local resident affected by aircraft noise I am against any further expansion of Heathrow airport. I believe that there are many viable alternatives. Heathrow expansion would not only have a negative impact on the life and health of residents, on the environment, on transport but also pose a much larger security risk.

I strongly object to further expansion at Heathrow. There needs to be some long term thinking about airport strategy. Not this endless adding on with increased pollution - air and noise.

There are better places for increasing air traffic and which would benefit other areas far more and which actually need the benefits. Focus on the options rather than just expanding Heathrow. London City has proven it can work, Government should be braver and make a bold decision to leave Heathrow as it is.

We are increasingly disturbed in our sleep at night. Heathrow is too big and the airlines/management of Hrow ignore nighttime flying rules. Instance: evening of 10/12/13 noisey rumbling inside our flat from flights at 21.40; then in morning of 11/12/13 at 04.37 3-4 planes over the flats/hill. This is intolerable. I am losing sleep and I needs peace. There should be no planes flying 11.00-06.00: simple

Noise and pollution affects more residents around Heathrow than any other airport in Europe. There ARE alternatives so why do this? Who is going to compensate residents for sleep deprivation and all the health issues casued by this poullution? What about our children and children of the future? The greed of British Airport Authority and airlines should not be out ahead of the health of innicent residents. It is already at unbearable levels.
