SAY NO TO HEATHROW EXPANSION

I live directly under the Southern runway landing flight path and am woken every night by aircraft noise even those using the Northern runway flight path. Any increase in air traffic at Heathrow would be a nightmare.

This is a quality of life issue which reflects the priorities of our Nation. Commercial interests cannot, and must not always come first.

i strongly oppose expansion at Heathrow airport the noise and pollution already endured by many people living in west London is already at intolerable levels. Heathrow may be operating at full capacity but expansion will only exacerbate the problems for millions of Londoners. it is a quick fix option driven entirely by a small number of vested interests with no long term solution. to have a major airport hub with flightpaths over so much of the capital is frankly ludicrous in todays world. is

Air noise Pollution in Richmond is bad. But in Hounslow air and noise pollution is an order of magnitude worse.

Heathrow was built in the wrong place and Londoners suffer from the worst noise pollution anywhere because of it. Don't make it worse and make the quality of life in this ludicrously over-crowded city even more unbearable.

Much as I dislike EU mechanisms, it's time we took this matter to the Court of Human Rights. We have a right to undisturbed sleep and to tolerable noise levels during the day. The current flight paths breach our rights; expansion will destroy them.

we should all be cutting down on flights anyway!

Enough flights already to/from Heathrow! Are you trying to turn this part of London in to some nightmare?

BAA promised not to demand this and its successor should honour that pledge

Ainu expansion of Heathrow would be disaster for the local community.

There should be more than a three-sided Heathrow option on the table and a fourth to make the Government not look biased.

Getting to heathrow and apart from T5 the experience using it is appaling. The access roads are full already. Heathrow expansion is not the answer - leave it as a hub airport

If you want to double capacity only allow planes that carry 300 + passengers into Heathrow - easy

Children deserve quiet life in school grounds, not overflown with polluted air!

The current noise levels are horrendous. Please don't make it worse. The economic/business argument in favour of more UK flights is deeply flawed. Worst of all, airport expansion anywhere in the UK will be terrible for the environment at a time when we need to do all we can to reduce global carbon emissions. No expansion at Heathrow!
