Huge numbers of people already affected by aircraft noise from Heathrow have made their opposition to any more expansion abundantly clear and this was recognised at the last election. We still, and have always said, No, No, NO to any further expansion of any kind.

The noise and pollution is already ridiculous: it would be unbearable if flights were allowed constantly and the chances of a crash killing hundreds would increase and why? to allow more transit passengers who will not contribute to the economy.

The pollution, noise, and the stress on local transport links, makes Heathrow totally unsuitable for expansion. The East of London site offers afr better trasport, regeneration and environmental options.

We must look seriously at a complete once and for all solution involving an estuary airport. If Hong Kong can build an new offshore airport in a few years why on earth can't we?
