The air is too pulluted as it is. We have very high rates of cancer round here.

Why does this matter keep on getting raised when we have been told there will be no more expansion at Heathrow. An interesting question

The current increased flights are already have a negative impact on our sleep and rest patterns. There are much more feasable options around London and increasing the capacity of Heathrow is not the solution. This is not a Heathrow only option but a London and UK wide issue and should therefore address this as a whole not only on the basis of a single airport with its own vested interest.

Any airport placed upwind from a densely populated region is in the wrong place. Adding to its capacity, when adjacent to a city with already over-polluted air, is just an insult to all who live here. Doing so against a world economic background where energy use needs to be reduced and unnecessary travel restricted, to conserve resources, represents a form of madness and hypocrisy. Doing so in order to fill the pockets of vested interests, will not be forgotten by voters in the region, who would be forced to continue their lives below a barrage of incessant disturbance, noise, air and additional particle emissions.

Stop dreaming about expanding that sorry heap at Heathrow. Instead build a four runway airport out at sea and redevelop the land gained at Heathrow into housing. Will not only alleviate housing shortage in the London area but also create thousands of jobs.
