The environmental impact of the Heathrow operations are already at an unacceptable level was clealy reflected in previous Davies reports. The schemes for expansion can only make that worse.Any proposal to do so will not in then long term permit Heathrow to compete on level terms with it European competitors and would be , at best, no more than a sticking plaster solution

I am very strongly opposed to any expansion at Heathrow! We already have full skies, and to increase the numbers would be mad hubris. I'd be in favour of the new Thames Estuary airport, if expansion is really necessary.

The report is biased towards Heathrow expansion and therefore compromised. Heathrow offer only a short term fix and at immense cost to the wellbeing and health of those living in SW London

The expansion of the airport is a short term fix that will not work long term. Aside from that it will cause disruption to residents in the area.

If Heathrow expansion is the chosen option it will be another example of our political leaders showing a clear lack of real vision in choosing short-term gain over long-term benefit. This could be our chance to show the workd that we can produce a world class airport in a safe environment rather than the hotchpotch of sometimes makeshift buildings that is Heathrow.
