Back in January 2008 a BA 777 lost both engines over Hounslow whilst approaching the airport. Only luck and superb airmanship avoided a catastophic event on the ground that day. I find it incredible that there is a desire to generate even more traffic over one of the most populated areas in Europe. One day everybody's luck will run out. Please do not expand this airport any more, it is asking for trouble.

Expansion of Stansted with the new speed rail link to make it quicker to get into central London is the way to go. It makes sense.

No to expansion over the most highly populated area of all options. It doesn't make sense.

Only in a society obsessed with money could such a crass proposal be recommended.

There are alternatives to Heathrow which do not involve planes flying low over large populations. Dangerous to increase capacity at Heathrow.

It is simply ludicrous that any serious body should consider further expansion at Heathrow. Not only is noise seriously affecting many lives, but air pollution from aircraft is a serious danger to health in the West London area. How nonsensical would it be to increase the traffic density and pour even more health damaging particulates over London?
