2 runways are bad enough. I keep being woken up at 4.30 am by the few night flights that are allowed. And as for the period between 6 and 7 am when Heathrow has permission to use runways both to the front and back of our house - it is impossible to sleep. More runways would make life intolerable for the advantage of big businesses with no care for the average person.

There is so much unused capacity existing at Gatwick and Stansted, subjecting West London to more aircraft noise is ludicrous.

Heathrow is simply in the wrong place. Expansion of Airport capacity will bring untold noise pollution to the inhabitants of West London. In addition the ground congestion will cause an enormous ammount of extra air pollution in an area which already fails to meet European air quality standards.

No Expansion of Heathrow! London's main airport should never have been situated at Heathrow (west of the city). Why are we persisting in making a mistake an even bigger mistake. Now is the time to properly plan for the future.

I am totally against further expansion of Heathrow and believe that all business requirements can be catered for by more efficient schedules and adjusting non-business flights

Sustained locally concentrated aircraft noise is harmful to humans.

Why? isn't it obvious that the west of london is full and can't cope with more traffic to Heathrow let alone more runways and noise.

Real peoplein real houses need peace. NO to MORE NOISE
My first comment went through without my finishing it. More runways at Heathrow would significantly impair the area over which the planes operate. Why isn't Gatwick suitable?

Let's stop trying to perpetuate a bad idea, take a sensible look at the big picture and design and build our next world beating airport in the estuary.

The airport is already an accident waiting to happen. To expand it further is madness when there is such a high density of population in the area.
