Heathrow should not be considered for expansion.

No one in the local area wants the Heathrow expansion. As it is I can't even open my windows during the evening due to noise. I can hold a conversation with my child on the way to school, again due to noise. A fourth runway will be intolerable.

The idea of flying more planes over London is ridiculous.

Having lived in Barnes and Sheen for 22 years I cannot imagine how unbearable an expansion of heathrow would be. So many nights have been disturbed woken up by the planes at 4 and 5 in the morning and going over all day every few minutes. I cannot imagine what it must be like nearer to the airport where planes are even nearer and louder

Even with modern generation aircraft the noise levels are unacceptable. It's impossible to get a full nights undisturbed sleep due to the constant stream of low level inbound aircraft that start to arrive at 04:30 and which after a period of time is intolerable. This will only get worse with the develpement of a further runway at Heathrow. The Government will be making a big mistake to back down on it's election promise in favour of profit over Public Health and an acceptable living standard for the surrounding population.

The current traffic volume into & out of Heathrow is already intolerable. Apart from the impact on the residents of SW and West London, Heathrow transport links are completely inadequate for an international airport. Expanding Heathrow will make an already bad situation even worse. It is time for bold and imaginative alternative to Heathrow expansion.

Heathrow is unsustainable. Noise pollution alone affects thousands - the UK needs a modern Hong Kong style airport hub with modern transport links

I understand cost:benefit ratios but with an expansion of LHR, southwest London's residents (most notably children) will bear a disproportionate cost. The noise is intolerable at times already and prevents us sleeping; this cannot be allowed to worsen.

It's 6.30 am and I have been awake since 4.30 due to flights landing, this is intolerable. The expansion of Heathrow is folly and effecting millions., in addition to MP's in west lLondon, Mr Afriye, Ms May and Mr Greive should think very carefully about not fully opposing this expansion if they wish to retain thier seats.

The noise pollution from Heathrow is already intolerable. Night after night I am woken repeatedly by the noise of the so called “quieter” aircraft. Some nights I can barely sleep at all. Any expansion of Heathrow would be completely unacceptable.

I am strongly opposed to this expansion as Heathrow is already the busiest airport with 2 runways and it would greatly damage our quality of life and our community. I support Boris' idea of a Thames estuary airport or consider a 2nd runway at Gatwick. Why expand an airport like Heathrow which is already saturated??!

The government should be taking immediate steps to reduce the noise pollution from Heathrow not increase it. The vested interests of few multinational companies that pay little or no tax and which are generating millions of tons of CO2 and other pollutants are being placed before the health and wellbeing of hundreds of thousands of Londoners.
