I live in Beckenham, South East London, some way from LHR, but where planes turn for their finally approach to LHR. We are regularly disturbed ion the early hours as it is by aeroplane noise. This would only get worse with a new runway. I am sure that the people who want another runway are not those who live under the flight path and bothered by the noise.

I am against any expansion of Heathrow Airport.

Heathrow is already intolerably noisy to residents, and it's increasingly dangerous - the flight paths are directly over London, a disaster waiting to happen.

Too many lives will be blighted by the expansion of Heathrow airport.

TOO NOISY FOR A LIGHT-SLEEPER IN RICHMOND AS IT IS...AND I'VE LIVED IN HOUNSLOW......UNBEARABLE. HEATHROW WAS BUILT IN THE 50'S, AND WAS SURROUNDED BY VILLAGES AND FIELDS!

We already live under the most polluted air space in Europe. There are no signs of any government plans on how they will deal with the forthcoming EU fines on the quality of our air. These will follow shortly further to the fines they will levy due to the poor quality of our waste water.

Heathrow was built in the wrong place, and we need to grasp the nettle and decide to put London's main airport on a site where flights can take off and land over water.

A third runway at heathrow is short-termist solution and will adversely affect millions of London residents.

Add £5 to each flight in and out of the UK as a tax for a new airport that doesn't create the noise pollution that Heathrow does for millions of London residents. Ignore the business community who know the cost of everything and value of nothing, and also ignore the claims of birds on the Thames estuary (sorry, birds - you'll find somewhere else)

Noise, pollution, little benefit to the UK - the idea is mad - as is ANY expansion at Heathrow

I strongly object to being deprived of sleep by early flights Heathrow as well as being poisoned by the fumes from the passing airplanes. The expansion of Heathrow is impossible without causing us, the residents of West London, further harm. Heathrow is already to big, the infrastructure can not cope with the existing traffic. We have to seek expansion somewhere else or to build a new airport. I support Boris's Island. Other countries are far more innovative than the UK and build their impressive airports far away from residential arrears providing also good transport links. It is time we made the right, long term decision to benefit both local residents and the travellers.

Heathrow is a business airport. We're in the 21st century. Most businesses now view air travel as a luxury and are using now-excellent technology for video conferences and collaboration. Say no.

Put it on Boris Island! Not only do we not want the flights coming over, but the motorways can't handle the extra traffic anyway, unless you turn the Chiswick Flyover 8 lanes wide, along with countless other roads in the area

In the summer particularly it is already unbearable with planes flying right over our garden practically. Another runway is MADNESS. There is no need for this at all and its just businessmen out to make more money without a thought for anyone living under the flightpath. The Tories have given this to Mr Davies so they can say it is nothing to do with them - they have lied to us and i wont be voting Tory again.

I have voiced my concerns at local meetings, LBC radio today and I believe Heathrow is NOT the place, even a new expensive hub would be better if nobody else wants it in their back yard. We could have a Super dooper international proper London based airport with Boris' idea right where the heart of City business is, with the space too. Heathrow has no capacity in its infrastructure it will be HELL on earth it's bad enought now with congestion, how about terrorists blowing up planes over London - dont let them go over London keep them at bay. it will be we told you so.

As a long time resident of Finsbury Park the noise levels in recent years have become increasingly intolerable, especially in the early morning and late evening. Any expansion of Heathrow is unacceptable.
