I strongly object to the further expansion of Heathrow airport. Time and again we are told 'if we get X we will want no more'. But they always do. The noise and general pollution levels are already technically being exceeded. If Heathrow is expanded again, rather than starting a new hub in a more sensible place, we will be in this situation again in as few years' time -- 'we need to expand Heathrow to remain competitive'. No, we need a new hub, further away from the heavily populatedand traffic-dense West london area. and co

It would be sensible to expand Gatwick, provided affordable fast transport links can be developed from at least the southern counties.

Since I have lived here, the times of the flights in and out of Heathrow have changed dramatically. there used to be no flights after 10:30 pm or before 7 am. Now trying to sleep on a Sunday night at 11 pm when planes are flying over your house is not much fun, especially when your alarm is the planes flying over your house the following morning at 6.30 am. Not being able to here you tv in the evening is bad enough now. but a third runway will be awful. While I have been writnig this four planes have gone over my home.

I can't believe our government can not see the forest for the trees. Other cities such as Hong Kong have shown much more foresight and courage in creating a new well positioned airport.

Rationalise the current availability - there is absolutely NO NEED for additional runway expansion at Heathrow.

expanding heathrow is short sighted and short term commercial decision that ignores environment and residents. it will ensure the conservative party is unelectable for a generation.

I am a Richmond resident and strongly against Heathrow expansion. Why would we choose to expand an airport so close to a heavily populated part of London? Other countries build major airports further away from densely populated areas. It's time to accept that Heathrow is a planning disaster and move forward with an option that doesn't negatively impact such a large number of people.

Am seriously opposed to Heathrow expansion. Noise levels from planes this summer were unbearable. Can't imagine how bad things will get if new runway is built
