No other city suffers aircraft noise pollution in the way London does - the Thames Estuary is the right answer for the long term. Why would we deliberately choose to compound a stupid planning error by expanding Heathrow?

Expanding Heathrow is just madness, by the time they build it, the capacity will have been all used up. The surrounding roads are already at breaking point. Airports should be on the coast, the UK needs to get 21st century about solutions, look at what HK airport has done in 10 years. Heathrow land should be turned into residential property which the city of London is crying out for. Expansion is nothing more than the cheapest option, a rubber band hack and a real failure to address the problem properly. After how many runways would it ever stop expanding, 3, 4, 5, 6...??

Let's have some imagination and, more importantly, a decision. Thames Estuary is the only solution

No government that took the environment seriously could contemplate expanding air travel, least of all at Heathrow.

I'm very dubious about the real need for expansion in the first place, and Heathrow expansion would mean more pollution of every kind and a dangerous number of planes flying over central london which is not a good idea.

Sipson village needs to be saved and the peoples homes should not be demolished. We should try to reduce as many homes as possiable from being demolished.
More planes will asphyxiate London.
