I am very concerened by reports that the Airport Commission has recommended expansion of Heathrow airport. London is now an outlier among major cities worldwide in having the main airport located close to the city - Rome, Hong Kong, Washington to name but a few built a new airport well outside the city. Heathrow reduces the quality of life of huge numbers of residents in South West London - we are woken early by the first flights taking off and landing and in summer aircraft noise constantly disrupts a peaceful time in the garden or a quiet walk by the river. It is just not appropriate to expand the airport indeed the focus should be on how to relocate current traffic to other airports or build a new airport.

Don't let the decision be commercially driven - consider noise disturbance and safety - one day a plane landing at Heathrow will fall on London.

Our house is in between the two current Heathrow runways and we suffer from 5 am. to 11 pm every day when there is not an easterly wind.Enough is enough.

Although many people have rightly raised noise and many other environmental issues, a major concern which is not frequently mentioned is public safety. Sooner or later a large aircraft will crash on Central London (on the westerly flightpath) with terrible consequences. To increase the number flights into Heathrow through a third runway can only increase that risk. Justine Greening MP has recently raised this issue in her evidence to the Airport Commission and should be strongly applauded for doing so.

The Davies Commission was an Establishment stitch-up protecting their corporate partners.
Establishment politicians want a 3rd runway at Heathrow but will bluff their way through two years of elections and then turn us over in 2016.
Labour unions and Conservative donors all want to eradicate Heathrow Villages.
The people must now speak up.
Vote against Conservatives and Labour at every opportunity until they get the message.

flights over london have been lucky for the last few decades - the chance of a major incident increase with every increase n the flight schedule to heathrow - stop the expansion before something happens. It will also stop the steadily increasing noise pollution over putney from 4:45 am on wards - why do we allow the outdated rules of take-off from hong Kong govern our ealymorning arrivals - they should be delayed by a couple of hours to let us sleep

Wholeheartedly supportive of all efforts to banish Heathrow expansion. We favour the Mayor of London solution for a hub airport in the Thames estuary. sound pollution would drop and jobs would be created.

Think big, think long term, think victorian. An estuary hub with direct Eurostar and East Coast main line is way forward. Heathrow wouldn't close in our life times!

As a resident of Harmondsworth who has been suject to this expension plan for many years I wish to object to a massive expension of this airport. The conservative convernment should hang its head in shame as should all members the house of commons at the lies which we, the public have told over many year- we have fought this for many years and will contunue to do so

Plan for an airport away from densely populated London
