During my education at WCU I was proud of the diversity of both the students and teachers at the school. I am appalled that the university would allow someone with such hatred towards diversity to hold a rally on campus.

WCU is not about hate but embraces differences. Trump does not embrace difference but speaks of hate and discrimination.

I do not think it is appropriate for WCU to host someone to speak on a campus supported by public funding, who openly speaking of prejudice and hatred. Is David Duke next?

At WCU. I learned to review the evidence and make decisions based on facts, fairness and how it would impact the world long term. With that education I clearly see that Mr. Trump's statements have, and continue to be, harmful to the values this country holds dear. WCU do not create a forum for bigotry and hate - it is not who you are.

I fully support thoughtful discourse in a democracy. I cannot support candidates who sow discord and promote division. And I don't think public institutions should give these individuals a platform either.
