This has a huge impact on the resident of Barrhaven . I totally disagree with this.

I strongly believe that the temporary shelter should be built near an LRT station. Guess what? Barrhaven does not have LRT.

No tent in Barrhaven. Barrhaven has always been a nice safe community. This would affect our safety, our house price, it has high population already, that these tents should build in somewhere less people, possible to develop a new community.

Serious worry about the safety as well as the impact to the community for long term.

Actually, I've been to Barrhaven and it seems like a perfect place to host refugees seeking a better life in Canada.

As a former Barrhaven resident I would not want something like this in my backyard. We lived on Foxfield so it doesn’t get much closer to backyard than this. My in laws still live on Alberni St and this would be in their front yard. There has to be a better solution to dealing with and supporting asylum seekers than putting up a giant tent in one of the fastest growing neighborhoods in Ottawa.

The tent idea is horrible. This was not anything I wanted in my back yard when moving to Barrhaven, it won’t be temporary, we all know that. This is for the long haul and Barrhaven will be divided and destroyed. Enough is enough. Fix problems that are already here before adding new ones. Shame on whomever came up with this idea.

It's a growing neighborhood of families with young kids. Such an development will be a harm to the prosperity of this community. I strongly condemn the building of such facility and highly support the petition.
