Strongly opposed the idea of setting up tents in the Barrhaven area.

Barrhaven is for families!

This is a very bad idea for our community and surrounding neighborhoods.

This location is unsuitable for this proposed housing. Vehemently oppose this structure in this location.

it is unsafe to bring tent in Barrhaven for our children. And decrease the cost of our houses.

Barrhaven’s population has grown drastically in the last few years and the current infrastructure does not offer the wrap around services to accommodate refugees without significantly impacting existing residents. No tent - this is a bad plan!!!!

Place family unit asylum seekers in Barrhaven, NOT single men/women as this is a family-oriented neighbourhood. Alternative: Tiny homes instead of Tent, therefore compliance with building codes, and proper plumbing/waste management, proper ventilation and proper safety inside 4 walls. Tiny homes are portable and can be moved and used for homeless persons' dwellings later on. Do not place 150 newcomers into a population-dense community (Barrhaven). Divide this number by 6 and spread out the placements throughout Ottawa (ie. 25 dwellers in Barrhaven, 25 dwellers in 5 other communities).

Barrhaven is not an appropriate location for this type of housing. There is no transportation or adequate services. Please do not put this shelter up in this area.

Really disappointed with Barrhaven as a whole. Development is outpacing the infrastructure, the traffic is now as bad as downtown. If this continues if will be time to move to a different community or further outside of city of Ottawa.

This needs to be more rural. Not in the heart of sleepy Barrhaven. There's fields for miles between the end of Riverside South and the Hardrock. With LRT and public transit.

Having tents will bring more people begging on our street. Our children will be unsafe. More crime. Will decrease the value of our homes.

Barrhaven is a family-oriented neighborhood with numerous schools, daycares, and senior residences. Introducing tent shelters in such close proximity to these facilities raises serious concerns about the safety and well-being of our residents. The transient nature of these shelters could lead to increased traffic and potential safety hazards, which are unacceptable in a community like ours. Moreover, the lack of proper consultation with the community before making such decisions is deeply troubling. We deserve to have our voices heard and our concerns addressed before any final decisions are made. I urge you to reconsider this proposal and explore alternative solutions that do not compromise the safety and integrity of our neighborhood. Our community’s well-being should be the top priority.
