Barrhaven has been under major changes in the last 10 years. From a quiet happy suburb to a chaotic overpopulated, under resourced and crime filled part of the city. Growing up here and seeing the changes has been devastating. This will not help the community and will further add fuel to an already uncomfortable atmosphere for a lot of the residents who’ve been here to prior 2012.

I’m not in favour of it. Placed them in a permanent residence.

1. Normal residents are unhappy. Many people without jobs coming might deteriorate the community environment. 2. Refugees are not happy. They are not welcomed there. The tents are not comfortable. 3. The government will be inefficient, and waste money and resources for the temporary equipments.

This needs to be discussed, and not just thrown at us. Could you possibly have found an uglier structure? With all the new federal buildings released , why are they not being considered first? This could help revive downtown if that is a real concern as the city keeps stating.

The tent is not a health living arrangement for existing residents and is not a safe way to integrate new people into a culture. Stop the tent/shelter planning in Barrhaven. There is are no services and not employment, no Doctors and lots of well settled families who do not need the 360 sing men letting in the neighborhood in “shelter” living situations… no money, and too much time. Stop the shelter in the suburbs.

We also need to ass that this will greatly affect the value of our homes. And homeless shelters are known to increase drugs, unsanitary issues, Crimea, violence etc. This is way too close to neighborhoods, elementary schools and high schools.
