I am concerned about the close proximity of this proposed location to the nearby high schools and elementary schools. As well as the lack of employment opportunities for newcomers in the nearby areas to help contribute to our community.

Tents are not well suited for the purpose that they want to be used. There are tons of empty buildings in Ottawa better suited to the cause of re-homing 150 single asylum seekers on a short term basis. The impact on the community (increase of criminality) will be huge as has been shown in other similar projects abroad. I can give you examples if needed.

When we can no longer afford to house and feed our own citizens it is negligent and irresponsible to be welcoming more and more people who will undoubtedly be set up to fail.

We do not have the services to help these people in Barrhaven. Why not house them in empty government buildings downtown? Putting a high needs group into a family community that is already struggling is a mistake.

I do not agree to have tent in that location. These people will have lots of time on their hands and Barrhaven has nothing for them to participate in. What will they do all day? Transportation in Barrhaven is not very good and I am concerned with our youth and children
