Look for a more rural location away from young families and construct a robust building.

We can’t afford to build affordable housing but we needed to disrupt the entire city with a faulty LRT system that doesn’t help Barrhaven residents?? In fact it has made the commute time downtown longer and it’s certainly not a system we can count on. Thank you to the corrupt Jim Watson who has slunk off to enjoy his retirement. Why is Barrhaven paying for the sins of so many inefficient, corrupt politicians? I say no to the tent shelter but I’m skeptical that anyone cares. They’ll do it anyway. On another, more related note. How about fix the immigration system so our infrastructure can keep up? Why is my household being bled dry to support faulty policy decisions of corrupt or criminally inept politicians? This is a key issue I’ll be watching during any election. Major change needs to happen. This tent issue is one symptom of the bigger problem. Thank you for raising this issue and caring enough to ask my opinion.

The decision-making process should be transparent and take into consideration the opinions of nearby residents.

I am concerned for the well being of the refugees to be placed in these sprung shelters and for the potential impacts of a concentration of people in crisis on the surrounding community. Placing these individuals in a temporary structure amidst a community with few social services or health supports and with a strained public transportation system just doesn’t make sense. I urge those exploring this option to please rethink it. Please spread people out into shelters with real walls, and place them where they can more easily access supports and public transportation.

The residents understand that wherever such temporary asylums have been constructed ends up disrupting the peace and ends up being a security risk for the residents in that area. Please show the basic consideration towards them.

I disagree with any of these sort of plans in our lovely Barrhaven community. Please don't include Barrhaven in this plan. The city has several other empty lands that could be used to that purpose humanitarian purpose.
