My view is that the city should build structures that could be used on a more permanent basis, that are not such an eyesore as a tent would be

I pay my taxes to lower crime rates, not increase them.

Absolutely not a great spot for this tent....outside of this very busy little city, not in the heart of it!

It is outrageous that Barrhaven would be considered as a potential tent location. This is a low crime area that is a highly sought after location to live and hence is expensive to live and many cannot afford. Why would such an affluent area be considered for people with no money or resources. Effectively what you would be doing is introducing additional crime and lowering the value of my property that I've worked very hard to earn. Barrhaven also has limited Medical resources as it took me over 2 years to get a doctor and my son still does not have one. It is preposterous that you would further increase this burden for medical services . Barrhaven is not a suitable location. A suitable location would be out side of established residential areas not right in the heart of some of the most sought after areas to live.

Tents are not the solution for the homeless refugees. we need to offer a more humane housing solution

Ottawa has 15,000 hectares of Greenbelt, there is no need to shrink taxed residential areas . USE the greenbelt

We have enough homeless people we should be helping especially vets and you want to bring more people in!! This should be something that we all should be able to decide not just city council!!!!

Almost all the neighbors in Barheaven chose this area for its peaceful and safe environment to raise their children. They moved away from downtown, universities, and their workplaces, accepting the cost of extra time and transportation for the sake of their families. In our neighborhood, police vehicles and sirens are rarely seen or heard. There are many vacant buildings in downtown, where government employees no longer work, and these could be a good option for housing. Let’s allow us to continue enjoying this peace.
