Barrhaven doesn’t have to various services, infrastructure or reliable transit to help support these newcomers.

the infrastructure here in barrhaven community is already terrible with too many people. this causes more crimes, more stealing, more stabbing, everything. stupid idea. go elsewhere

There is also the concern regarding the proximity of the shelter to multiple schools (some primary level)

If these people are seeking asylum, barrhaven is not the place to do so. They need to be near service canadas and ontarios, courts, government, etc. We have none of that here, let alone reliable transportation. Barrhaven has enough issues right now, we don’t need to pile on more

Seriously, adding tents anywhere is just unacceptable to begin with.. especially in what is suppose to be a beautiful place to raise families!!

We don't need more crime in Barrhaven the family oriented place, if you want to remove the homeless from downtown it doesn't mean you pull them and bring them to Barrhaven, find a smarter solution than moving them from one place to another to reduce the rate from one area and spread it on the rest.

I don’t believe that would be fair or reasonable for the people or the community to have a tent of this magnitude in Barrhaven where we already are getting to crowded the commuting and city transportation is bad and we certainly don’t have the space. Why don’t if you really have to do this sort of facility, consider Riverside south with all of the free and green spaces in and around them

I strongly oppose the proposal to place refugee or homeless shelters in our community. Barrhaven is already struggling with a lack of sufficient critical infrastructure and social services to support its residents and adding tents will only exacerbate these challenges. Placing vulnerable individuals in an area where they will have poor access to essential services is not a sustainable or compassionate solution. If our elected officials fail to address these concerns and prioritize meaningful, long-term support for both our community and those in need, my neighbours and I will seriously reconsider our support in the next election.

Placing a shelter between 3 large schools and the neighborhood kids walk through to get to those schools seems very in appropriate. There is no need to house people in a community that was built by hardworking people, trying to build a quiet life. There is not an infrastructure to support this

How will the shelter ensure safety to nearby community members particularly children and seniors question ? How would this shelter be monitored or secured, To prevent criminal activity or disruption to the community. This needs to be reviewed and reconsidered.

I am handicapped and live a couple of blocks away from the Greenbank site and walk passed there every day.
