No Tent

Not a good idea

This will bring so many issues to barrhaven especially if they use it as an overflow for homelessness. For someone who works downtown I see what will happen

Barrhaven does not have the infrastructure to support those living in the tents, and they will be an eyesore for years to come

Barrhaven is already over populated, crime has increased, poverty has increased, there's a homeless man by Home Depot right now building a shelter! Please let us help our city first! We are all struggling

No tents, not in barrhaven

Against having this in my neighbourhood.

I am in the field of social services and the supports needed are not available in Barrhaven. The space to build maybe available but not the social network. I am tired of our government being reactive and not proactive.

No tent

Federal government needs to solve this problem using federal land. Why are we relocating people from downtown? They need to be there so they are visible to the government.

Barrhaven does not have the proper infrastructure to house refugees. Our transportation services are way below par and walk-ability to various services is not great either. IF there were to be a shelter, it should be in a better transit area so that they all have access to the various services they need.

Barrhaven is already over populated without proper services, and this would eliviate more issues. I am all for helping but believe this is not the proper location

Why add more to a support and supply system that is already stretched beyond its limits???? Plus what are the plans for winter occupation? Lets get real. We are dealing with people not cattle||

The residents already don’t feel safe, this will not help.

Barrhaven doesn’t need something like this. Find somewhere else to put the tent!

There has to be a more dignified way to help asylum seekers. Apartments or even empty government buildings where the cafeteria can be the communal kitchen and walls can be put up to give people some priva y and dignity. Our winters are far to cold for a massive tent. Barrhaven has no services set up for asylum seekers. If you were to take one of the empty building on Riverside south, you'd have space to place all necessary offices that the asylum seekers could need in the same building. We are a G7 country and can do a LOT better than tents in a suburb away from all the services they need notvto mention an unreliable and costly public transportation system.

I feel so bad for these people. But there has to be a better solution than tents especially with our Canadian weather. Seems so cruel

We already don't have enough resources for the people who live in barrhaven. We need to stop bringing more people into Canada. We need to support those already here.
