Total lack of consultation and transparency. Should be setup in an area where newer housing is being considered to give buyers full knowledge of what the neighborhood would look like. Retrofitting into a mature area is not appropriate.

Barrhaven is too crowned already and increasing crime rate is a concern

Need permanent building of dorm style housing to promote dignity for those transitioning to life here in Canada as well as the services they will need to support that here locally. Tents are for camping not living. Treat refugees better than this and plan longer term with resources

Use some city-owned property Vacant, and spacious, within walking distance of transportation

This type of structure is inappropriate it this location. Federal government destroyed the whole system… the whole country in fact. We are already paying the price for their incompetence and corruption.

As a veteran I have lived in these and they are not healthy. There is little or no info on infrastructure such as sanitation, water, showers etc

I would imagine there are more ideal locations for this structure? Barrhaven continues to expand without resources to support its residents. How will Barrhaven and its population welcome those with better support than they receive?!!!

There’s only one bus that travels on Greenbank in that area. There needs to be more busses to accommodate the people who would be there, whether it is unsheltered people or asylum seekers. Is it really safe to put people next to an active railway? I feel like that could be dangerous. Is there going to be staff supporting the people there? That’s going to cost more money then it would to actually find stable housing.

Not in my neighborhood. There are too many children, too many schools to have asylum seekers and homeless, most with addiction problems, in this area.
