I say Hot air Balloons for the Homeless . Why live in tents, lets get these poor people off the streets and let them float around in the sky. Vote for me!

I believe it cannot be structured in such a way as to be safe and provide acceptable privacy for all the occupants during a full four season year

This is unsafe for our neighbourhoods. The proximity to the schools for men, as I understand it is not for families but men, is truly baffling. This is not vetted people allowed into the country, it is people waiting for their files to be reviewed which could take year. How can you allow this to happen to our community! This needs to be stopped!

Barrhaven community which is sorely needed of the Queensway Carleton Hospital, an urgent care clinic,
that location would be perfect for serving people in Barrhaven.

I am appalled and disagree with our Canadian Government's solution for refugees temporary housing in a large tent and situated in Barrhaven!
If Canada cannot help provide adequate permanent housing for new immigrants then they should not be allowed to immigrate to Canada!
Temporary shelter in Barrhaven is NOT a viable solution, it will increase the number of unemployed people on our streets, increase the crime rate and create turmoil with existing property owners, renters, working class, the taxpayers!
I love new immigrants, our country has always been a "melting pot" of people from around the world, am proud to be a Canadian but do not want to see our communities lower their standard of living due to overloading our system in sloppy housing!

What an insane idea.. Squeezing people in like sardines in a tent no less in the winter. What about the potential for crime One crime is onetoo many.
Hey Trudeau why don’t you put a cap on immigration they aren’t going to vote for you anyway.

From everything I’ve been reading and researching, I do NOT believe this to be a good idea nor is it a good location. I feel sympathy for these people that are applying for asylum in Canada, however that being said, first and foremost we must protect our own Canadian citizens. These people have not yet been proven as safe to enter Canada; there MUST be a safer alternative location for them to be housed until citizenship is decided. And, I’m not saying just in my back yard, but in anyone’s back yard!! Until they have been proven to be safe, they are not safe to live and be housed so close in a community and so close to our schools. This type of setup needs to be outside of residential areas not smack dab in the middle of a community. In addition, Barrhaven is a very fast growing community and these proposed locations are highly desired for future homes which will bring in more much needed tax money for our rapidly growing community.
I certainly will not feel safe should this proposed location proceed and I’m certain that not one councilor or mayor for that matter, would feel safe to have this tent facility so close to their own homes; if they say otherwise then I believe they are lying to our faces. This can not go ahead. More thought needs to going into locations to accommodate.
Enough is enough already!!!!

Just like health care, our governments opt for quick fixes. It would be a travesty to strand folks so far away from the services they need. Especially as many (most?) of these folks don't have cars. I do not however think that even a mammoth petition result will have any impact. Al
