Lots of other places it could go other than Barrhaven. Go ask Government for some NCC land since it only temporary.

I’m a residence of Barhaven for the past 20 years where they plan on building. This is right behind my house and I have young kids. Not to say anything is wrong with these people I am also an immigrant, but don’t want this set up here. If this petition does not go through, I will create another petition on our own to make sure that this does not get Constructed behind my house.

This is the dumbest most ridiculous idea. Take care of your own people.. ensuring Canadians have adequate assistance and care before bringing in more. Furthermore, Barrhaven can barely handle traffic now.. why would it be a good idea to set up a tent full of asylum seekers in the heart of Barrhaven? I really hope this is reconsidered and cancelled ASAP

No tent in Barrhaven. We haven't been served like other areas in Ottawa. No hospital, bad transit, crowded schools and lack of daycare. Solve these problems first. We need the land for these issues.

These “tents” are not appropriate for housing. Cities/municipalities should not be funding housing/living expenses for immigrations. There is only one taxpayer but the Federal Govt has created this problem and they should resolve it. There are already a lot of homeless people who need help. They should be the priority.

Barrrhaven is getting the short end of the stick. Poor transportation (and will we ever see phase 3 of LRT in any of our lifetimes?), no hospital, over crowded schools, yet the Province and Feds thinks we are well equipped for such a project? Makes no sense.
