I find sport hunting of Mountain Lions (or any animal) sickening. Please prevent it. Mountain Lions are magnificent and an important part of ecosystems. They’ve already been persecuted in the USA for far too long.

Mountain lions are important apex predator species that are vital to ecosystem health and resilience. They are sentient individuals that have a right to exist on this planet without being cruelly persecuted and killed by humans for human ego and rationale but rather should be treated with respect and compassion. Hunting these animals is wrong. Mountain lions have also been shown to regulate their own populations through territory establishments and food availability and more and hunting of mountain lions especially healthy established populations has shown to increase human cougar conflict for a number of reasons. Hunting and killing these animals without absolute necessity in very specific circumstances is plain wrong and something we should be moving away from at this point in our evolution as a species and with the state of the planetary conditions that all wildlife are struggling to survive in already due to human causes such as habitat loss, climate change pressures, pollution, invasive species and so on.
