The reasons against choosing this site (far too little space, extra travel time for pupils, consequently increased pollution, worse congestion) make it an incomprehensible choice.

The Sutton Hospital site is far too small and access far too limited, the traffic would be nightmare. The site is totally unsuitable.

The site is far too small and already a congested junction at the entrance. The traffic congestion on the Brighton Road will be ridiculous.

This seems like a no-brainer. Rosehill has the space and no valid argument for why the school shouldn't be built there. There just isn't the space in Belmont for a school.

The decision appears to fly in the face of commissioned project analysis, template criteria and location facility benefits. Ward Councillors set against each other bodes counter-productive destruction of professional debate

It is ridiculous to try to cram the proposed new school into a site that is substantially smaller than the size recommended by the Department of Education

Is there any chance that Sutton Council will ever make a good decision? I fear not. Children need space not multi storey buildings. Two High Schools in close proximity is not a good idea either as there is likely to friction.

This site and the area is way too small to accommodate 2000 extra pupils. Traffic around here is bad enough as it is. Surely it is better to build a school where there is more land to benefit the pupils and enhance their learning environment.

The site is far too small and the lack of a nearby playground/sports field would simply repeat the same unsatisfactory situation as faced by Sutton Grammar School

Sutton council are a joke. They are world leaders in making the wrong decisions and wasting taxpayers money. The site is 40% to small for the school proposed. They have been told this by their own consultants yet they proceed headlong like lemmings as usual. Time the vote these buffoons out.

The parcel of land purchased by the council from the NHS trust is totally inappropriate & far too small for a school. There is already far too much congestion around the dangerous Cotswold/Chiltern/Brighton Roads junction and insufficient public transport in the area, especially considering the demand for school places is in the north of the Borough. If the whole of the former Sutton hospital site, not just this small 'front' parcel, along with the ICR & Royal Marsden sites is redeveloped into the proposed Life Sciences cluster, then I am not totally opposed to the inclusion of a school, provided proper fit for purpose access roads which do not detract from local residents - and adequate public transport, including the proposed tram extension phase 2 & a redoubling of the Epsom Downs branch & half-hourly service are included. As it stands however, the current proposal is woefully inadequate and will irreversibly damage the area.

The Sutton hospital site is far by far too small to accommodate a school of this size and the local area is not conducive to the amount of traffic this school would generate.

When will this arrogant Council ever listen to what the local people want? The demand for a school is in the north of the borough, the Sutton Hospital site is far too small and the infrastructure is already at breaking point.

This site is much too small for a school of the size proposed. It will result in buildings of three or more storeys that will dwarf the surrounding residential buildings because of the rising ground profile. There will be insufficient space for sports and parking. It will exacerbate existing traffic problems in surrounding roads and especially at the Cotswold/Chiltern/Brighton Roads junction particularly at peak traffic times, affecting not only local residents but also the high volume of through traffic users.
