Just about everyone will be out till or past midnight. it makes since for no school in order for students to comeback fully rested and ready to learn instead of tired and distracted from Halloween night.

Even though i do not live in independence, high school kids will be out late they should have the next day off to rest from having fun and being a teenager.

There should be no school November 1st because we are aren't going to be focused, on time, half of the school probably won't even show up to school. I mean come on when you were a kid I bet you didn't have school the day after Halloween . it makes no sense at all to have school . the day after Halloween .

no one needs to go to school tired so make it an off day and even if you dont no one is going to show up anyway so all you administrators needa come to your senses and make the 1st of november off honestly dont be dumb

Kids should be allowed to stay up late on a holiday! But with halloween falling on a Monday, ISD thought it'd be okay to have school that Tuesday. Even as an straight A student, I'd be sleeping in school and not learning to my full capability.
