No Rezoning Approval for GO BROOME Development

"GO Broome" is not necessary. Many other issues in the L.E.S. are way more pressing.

The character and culture of the LES is a valuable part of New York City's history. Please respect it.

Build more affordable and moderate and middle income units. Public space needs to be added and designed in such a way that it 'connects' with the adjacent public space north of The Rollins.

The area is overdeveloped with shopping centers rather than small boutiques or mom & pop shops. In addition, Essex Crossing has overpriced products catering to the weathy in the neighborhood.

Respect the current laws, zoning and regulations.

Less over development of the LES, more low income/affordable housing, and maintaining of the character of the neighborhood.

This neighborhood is not for sale to the highest bidder. Right? We need your leadership now more than ever. At a time when gigantic towers - built to enrich realtors making international deals with non- residents - are unable to sell their units; and while our neighborhood bears the scars of enough greedy landlords already, there’s never been a better time to show our strength - as a community who prize our neighborhood more than a few backhanders and sleazy deals from a business that worships nothing but money. I DO NOT approve a rezoning for a new giant development that will ruin my neighborhood.

we fought long and hard for the current laws, regulations and zoning, please respect them.

This does not serve the needs of the community. No variance to the existing zoning laws!

Respect the current zoning, no variances.

This is a deplorable idea that will adversely effect our neighborhood and our lives.

The current zoning is on place for a reason, to protect the community from over-development and to protect the quality of life. We are already drowning in new luxury apartments.

As a resident of LES I strongly oppose this plan. Years of study went into our current zoning laws and they should not be altered to make another real estate mogul richer at the expense of the people who live here!!! This is a bad plan and should not be approved!

Stop this - no more glossy high rises in the LES

This is not wanted in the community.

Lawmakers must stop these greedy developers from further destroying the LES. Why should we approve a change to the zoning? Name one reason. This crazy out-of-scale building will not benefit the neighborhood in any way, but instead block the light, and drive up the rent in the surrounding area. A study has not even been completed on the impact on overburdening the area infrastructure. And these developers have a history of violating human rights and fair housing rights of the disabled? Vote of no confidence.

Please keep our current zoning in place for the sake of traffic, air, sunlight and responsible development.

I strongly oppose a ReZone granting a developer to build a project 3X the size currently slated for this property. I also have questions regarding the history of this particular developer. Thank you for your time.
