We, the citizens and employees of Ballard, petition the city to install “NO PARKING FROM 2 AM – 5 AM” signs on 52nd Avenue Northwest, between 15th and 14th, on the main street.
There is insufficient parking for the amount of employees that work on this street. The main concern, due to the lack of signs, homeless people living out of their cars have been parking and abandoning their vehicles for weeks or months at a time. Because of this, we request a city service to come down and give these cars their 7 day notice to move. We have had to call the police due to drug activities going on in these cars. This costs the city a great deal of time and money to monitor these requests. Having these signs posted will keep these abandoned cars off our streets and save the City of Seattle money and time.
I work late shifts and feel so unsafe walking to my car with everything happening on that block. Just put up the signs already so we can have our street back.

Finally someone said it. Its getting impossible to find a spot anywhere near my shop and the trash left behind is unreal. Needs to happen yesterday.
