As an ex-smoker of about 6 years who quit using a rotation of Blue Raspberry, Watermelon, cinnamon roll and Fruity Pebble flavors as well as many others on and off, flavors are one of the key elements of successfully quitting smoking using an e-cig and shoud NOT be banned. From my experience and others I know, flavors help you to begin to disassociate your nicotine "fix" from analog cigarettes in a more pleasant and similar method of intake, and this extra satisfaction (a flavor you like) is often key to making the switch, as flavorless liquids and artificial tobacco flavors are quite unpleasant and unsatisfying. An example, I usually use a blue raspberry flavor, but at times when cigarettes seem more appealing (social events, people around me, etc) I can switch to a flavor like cinnamon roll or jelly donut and it will help to curb the craving as the flavors are more "bold" and full, closer to a cigarette than fruit while still being enjoyable, unlike artificial tobacco flavors which have tastes on a spectrum of fake wood smoke - a box of raisins. Many First time and beginner vapers will use tobacco flavors as they are simply unaware of this, once they try other flavors the vast majority will use a non-tobacco flavor. Alcohol is widely available in the same ranges of flavors as e-cigarette liquid, however alcohol kills 4,350 underage kids every year, and injures as many as 188,000 underage people a year (CDC 2011 stats). In 2017 alone, 30% of high school students drank, 14% binge drank, 6% drove after drinking and 17% rode with a driver who had drank alcohol. Vaping flavors have resulted in no injuries or deaths and data has shown that most kids who try e-cigarettes are already at-risk of trying cigarettes, alcohol and drugs. Similar data has also shown very little reason to believe that e-cigarettes are a gateway to a life of cigarette addiction as most of those same youth have also smoked cigarettes around the same time or before trying e-cigarettes. Non-flavored

I strongly believe that I would be very sick if I had not quick cigarettes. The vape has helped me to quit and I feel so much better. I can breath easier and don't feel like I am going to get sick.

I think it's ridiculous that everything we do is being banned!

I believe vaping is the reason I stopped smoking after 2 1/2 years. The reason it helped so much is because instead of having the nasty smell and taste of a cigarette I had a nice fruit flavor instead. I personally believe that if there was only menthol/tobacco flavors I never would have stopped because at that point I mine as well just smoke cigarettes instead of a nasty tasting vape juice.

I don’t believe this ban should be put in place. I was a 16 year old pack a day smoker and continue to 18 then I purchased my first ecig and got right away from the nasty smelly scent and taste of tobacco. The only thing that helped me quit was a combination of fruit flavors and the ability to chose and pick through a variety of flavors when I walked in. This ban will hurt people trying to better themselves in a positive way!

Vaping allowed me to stop smoking cigarettes after 47 years. The ban is unfair to us who need these vape flavors as a lifeline. Minors should be controlled vaping by other means.

My husband and I used vaping to quit cigarettes when we were trying to get pregnant. I now have a beautiful baby girl and I want her to live in a world as free of cigarettes and smoke (not to mention the pollution caused my cigarette butts!) as possible. Please don't take away vaping. It's a much safer alternative and we don't want to go back to smoking. It took me 15 years to quit and I never was able to until I found vaping.

I can't say enough about VAPING. I wanted to quit and just came across this and all is good approx. 2mos cig FREE & NO REGRETS. Have NOT even considered/ thought about purchasing a pack of cigs.. on top of all of that: it's cheaper...

I’m signing this because not only has it saved lives and kept me away from smoking but it’s a much healthier habit and hobby to have than what other people to choose to do. Vape juice and e cig juice doesn’t need to be banned. It’s a whole lot safer than drinking and doing drugs.
