The Opt-In proposal is clearly a means to circumvent existing rent-control laws, which are more crucial now than they were in 1985. Passage of Opt-In would be tragic for the city of San Jose which is already in desperate need of more affordable housing!

NO!! City Officals should turn their efforts to more pressing needs like affordable housing, getting rid of people living in tents in plain site i.e. Like every freeway exit/entrance around San Jose.
