Westwinds was very poorly maintained for over 25 years until just recently, and has a ways to go. The rent is already high, and has been even in rough times. I'm sure they will hit us with a big bill if this op-in proposal goes through. PLEASE stop it!

The opt-in proposal does nothing but give park owners the ability to get more money from park residents, doing an end run around rent control. It is bad policy.

As usual the 10% greedy people are getting greedier at the expense of the 90% poor people and the people who run the city feel they have to cater to the greedy people in order to keep their jobs, ie: the mayor, the city council, the controller, etc. When is enough, ENOUGH !!!!!!!

This opt-in is not the democratic way. This is our city. Mobilehome residents lived, worked and helped grow this community. We expect to be recognized in determining political participation and action. There is a privileged system of park owners to do what they want to keep feeding the pipeline of profits over our collective community interest of common good.

Opt-In is a waste of the city staff's time, especially since the issues has been turned away twice already. The owners should be required to abide by the existing rent control laws and honor the existing leases.

There is no more affordable housing in Silicon Valley, and even here in the mobile home parks, prices are skyrocketing. If rent gets to skyrocket also, we'll have to move out of the bay area.

Please do not pursue Opt In any further. It is not fair to mobile home park tenants and would leave us at the mercy of a handful of people making decisions in the dark about the future of our homes.
