I am incredulous that a private company notorious for oil spills is being allowed to force poor, Black Memphis residents to give up their homes for the sake of its 7 billion per year profits for an oil pipline. Not only will this bring no benefit to Memphis residents, it will put their health at terrible risk, as the pipeline will run through the aquifer supplying Memphis with all of its drinking water. Incredibly, no environmental impact studies have been done. Stop this project now.

This is environmental racism, plain and simple. NO ONE should be worrying about whether they have clean drinking water or not.

Crude oil extracted is a mess no one seems to take responsibility for until an accident happens. Let’s be proactive, healthy and forward thinking. Gas and oil is no longer an option. Start now by disallowing anymore crude oil contaminating our soil and water.

This is unacceptable. We need to prioritize black lives because this is proof of poor treatment. You cannot take away something you need to live!

It’s already bad enough too continue to deal with the stench from TVA regular and not knowing the impact of what we’re breathing on how it could affecting our bodies. Stop this continued madness
We are living creatures and want the same safe environment that you would want for yourselves your children. Would you endure this madness? Our lives black and white MATTER!!!!

The pipeline shouldn't be built. Pipeline leaks and spills occur ALL the time and destroy water and viable habitat throughout the US. No more pipelines. No more destruction of what we need to survive.

The last dwindling resource we have on this planet is our drinking water. According to my brother, who studies this matter, Memphis has about 50 years of aquifer remaining until we will be unable to replenish it quickly enough to keep up with demand. Our water security is one of the only positive metrics that memphis outperforms the vast majority of other cities. We must protect it.
