Re-route the pipeline to a safer location and to a location that does not potentially effect poor minorities in its building or if it leaks. Better yet, abandon the crude oil and put the money and effort for the pipeline into a to a green source of energy.

I wouldn't want this threat (and that's exactly what it is) near me, and it's nuts to think Memphians would want this pipeline running through their backyard. Just say No, and sleep easier for doing so.

The science is clear. We should not be investing in further fossil fuel infrastructure at this point.

A pipeline in this community would laugh in the face of environmental justice. The community already has 17 toxic release inventory center. 17 environmental insults too many. There cannot be a pipeline. I encourage the Memphis City council to pass the resolution opposing the Byhalia Connection Pipeline. Encourage Memphis Light, Gas, and Water to proect Memphis' pristine and only drinking water source - the Memphis Sand Aquifer, with a wellhead protection zone ordinance.

I'm totally against this pipeline in our neighborhood. We already suffer with bad air pollution, sewage in our water (brown) contamination. My health is already bad, battling cancer along with several other neighbors. No, we do not need a pipeline going through our neighborhood.
Thank you.

This an egregious affront against the residents of Boxtown and the clean water in our aquifer. How dare you put greed above the safety and wellbeing of Memphis' generational residents. Do what the people are requesting; do not sell us for the price of a few trinkets and fiat currency. For once, protect the homesteaders.

in solidarity with the residents of Memphis, TN! Thank you for protecting the water, land and air for future generations to come.
Pipelines, drilling, fracking... Our Earth, Our Home can take no more. It is time to move full force to clean, safe, sustainable energy- we have reached more than a climate emergency- we are in complete crisis and must act quickly to save our Earth. We owe it to our children and grandchildren.
Protect the water at all costs!
