Seem like everything gets dumped on the Bronx in our communities

As a long-time resident in this neighborhood near 161st Street, I vehemently object to ANY placement of a jail at 161st Street. This area has two courthouses, numerous businesses, apartment buildings, schools, senior centers, etc., just to name a few. We residents are trying to revitalize the community, which includes our beloved Yankee Stadium on 161st Street (River/Jerome Avenues). We do NOT want to add to its destruction. Besides, we are trying to reduce crime at this locale, not bring in more housed inmates. A jail would be unbefitting to the revitalization of this neighborhood.

Not in our back yards! There are a lot of changes and community upgrades coming to The Bronx and a jail with all of what it will bring does not mix with future of The Bronx!

Children should not be schooled right next to a jail. What message are we sending our children? Would this happen in a neighborhood that was predominantly white?? This is not a good idea!

find some place to llace a jail, how can you place it so close to child care pgrams, schools. Traffic and congestion in our neighborhood is unreal on a good day.

Let's do more than constantly playing on the communities of color, how about we build it up in Riverdale? And relocate the Tombs behind 30 Rockefeller Plaza? Out of my mind you say? Think about our people of color communities!

I oppose another jail in this community it is dangerous since they're schools and day care centers around that area.
