Coronado does NOT need more hotel rooms. Stop catering to the tourists and start catering to the locals!

We don’t need an additional hotel in Coronado as there isn’t enough parking. The city is too densely populated now. And the potential environmental pollution of too many people, cars will not help with our carbon foot print. Put a park and trees there to save open spaces and the environment.

Our community is already overwhelmed with traffic and congestion. The infrastructure cannot handle the additional traffic and people this development would bring.

Until the Port District (or any other developmental organization) can show their growth plans include congestion mitigation and increased traffic flows throughout Coronado, including on the Silver Strand into Imperial Beach, there is no reason residents should have to deal with the negative impact of adding more hotel rooms in the city. It's a shame that the residents are the ones who have to deal with the congestion while the Port and developers involved reap a disproportionate amount of the benefit. Bigger is not always better. Make what we already have better; adding more is not the answer.
