The school just confirmed that our timetable is being adjusted and we can finish early. I honestly never imagined this would actually happen, but it turns out that when so many of us speak up together, people have to listen. This win belongs to every one of you who stood …
Sign this petition if you believe that we should not continue with school for a further five weeks as extended on our timetable. We, as collective Year 11's, have worked extremely hard over the past two years in attempts to achieve the grades that we will receive in the coming months- and believe an early break to help self reflect is necessary and beneficial before the challenging times of IB/A levels.
It’s ridiculous how we have to continue school until July 2, when our last exam would’ve been on June 8/9!! We finished all the content, and this is just providing unnecessary stress to us, in an already stressful time

We were meant to finish in April. It wouldn’t make sense for us to keep going in July. It would stress out the students and make the teachers re-use old lessons as well as have them constantly plan for lessons that were not meant to occur.

If igcse is done and they cant start IB curriculum extending year 11 to end of june is a waste of time

I believe that as year 11 students, we have worked extensively hard during the last two stressful academic years to complete our IGCSE course. The stress that we have had and still have from the IGCSE course is unbelievable and it will only add more stress to us as teenagers if we continue with school till the end of the academic year. Our mental health is a priority and together we all believe that if we continue with school this will without doubt add more stress.

it’s just not fair that we have 5 extra weeks. Literally nobody has any sort of motivation left to study or do any work and all that happens is our parents are told. even they understand that during a pandemic, away from our friends, we have no motivation to study.
