I need UM students to sign this petition because I’m sick of seeing people getting parking tickets. This petition is so students who live off campus don’t need to purchase a parking pass during COVID. We pay enough money as it is going to school plus an extra online fee. There is no reason we should have to pay $130 a semester in order to go to class that most of us probably have once a week for 50 minutes. We pay to go to school in person. Now we are paying extra to go online and will get fined 50 dollars when we go park in a parking lot that is EMPTY, to get the education we actually deserve and are paying for.

I was just looking at the notifications and realized how many of you are dealing with this same nonsense parking situation. It feels incredible to see the momentum picking up because I really thought I was the only one losing my mind over these empty lots and pointless fees.

We already pay so much in tuition and parking can be difficult to find so we are only paying more and more with tickets. NO MORE TICKETS!!!
I don’t have any on campus classes because of covid, I had to go to a meeting on campus that lasted 20 minutes, and got a 50$ fine. That is not a reasonable consequence for the circumstances at hand.
I can’t afford a parking pass but live to far to walk
I completely agree with this statement. It’s really frustrating having to pay for parking in campus. Also want to know if we are getting a refund on the athletic fee since we aren’t able to attend any games?
