I get there are pros and cons to user generated moderation lists....
HOWEVER... It alone NEEDS moderation... And so on and so on and so on... You just NEED proper independent moderation

I have personally been a victim of this. Moderation lists are a really nice idea in an ideal world, but we don't live in an ideal world. People are using these falsly accuse others they personally don't like. I think bluesky needs to consider that while they are a well intentioned feature they will always be abused in this way.

this shouldn’t be on the users. if bluesky wants to be the social and safety first network, they will look into how these lists are used for maliciousness.

I, for one, have been added to blocklists I do not belong on. It has now reached a new level of low that an admin for a group I was a member of added me to a blocklist. It's a pity these blocklists have become a weapon.
