It is thought to be most prevalent in GUJARAT, MADHYA PRADESH, UTTAR PRADESH, and RAJASTHAN. Manual scavenging is a CASTE based occupation, with the vast majority of workers involved being women.
An estimate in 2018 put the number of "sanitation workers" in India at 5 million, and 50% of them being women.(WIKIPEDIA)
IT'S HIGH TIME, machines should be used for such disrespectful work and not humans.

Its 2020 and we still have humans doing this work. Use machines and give them dignity. Its shameful.
This practice is pure slavery. How can we call ourselves modern when people are still dying inside sewers for pennies. Stop this now.
This is one of the most inhuman practises ever. This is very rampant even after a law was made to abolish it. This should not exist.
Most of the countries use robots i have came acro such robots during my literature survery.

I completely stand by this petition, every person should be given basic human rights.
