NO MORE LIQUOR STORE IN OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD!!

Fresno City Council: The undersigned persons all oppose the issuance of a new Liquor License (#574005) to Rob's Liquor Store at 4435 W. Clinton Avenue, Fresno CA 93722 .
Our neighborhood and District 3 already have more than the maximum number of Liquor Licenses allowed by law and the harmful effects that go with them. There are currently 77 active off-sale licenses in District 3 and 10 active off-sale licenses within a 1 mile radius of the proposed new establishment. There is already an existing liquor store right across the street and five (5) others within 0.25 mile. The new liquor store will only be 1,200 feet from El Captain Middle School and McKinley Elementary School. The Planning Commission approved this new liquor store in spite of our neighborhood being over-saturated because paid Consultants told the Developers to describe Rob's Liquor Store as a Specialty Grocery Store and to claim it will not be operated like a typical liquor store. We know differently. Our neighborhood does not need any more liquor stores, blight, crime, or drunk drivers. Please save our neighborhood and families.
