Senator Portman, you tweet a lot about fighting the opioid epidemic in Ohio. Yet you still voted to cut Medicaid by $1trillion even though it’s the best line of defense we’ve got to deal with this crisis. Your constituents are saying that’s unacceptable. It’s unacceptable that tax cuts to the rich are a priority and not the lives and well-being of the people of Ohio! Stand up for us! No cuts to Medicaid!
The silence from Senator Portman regarding these requested changes remains concerning. I am currently preparing a formal letter that organizes the collective concerns of this group to ensure our message reaches his office directly.

The momentum behind this petition highlights how deeply Ohioans care about protecting access to healthcare. It is evident that our community demands genuine accountability from those in office.

Please do not cut Medicaid. It would be nice if you held an actual town hall meeting to hear our concerns

You lip service is disingenuous and deadly. Shame on you. Stand with the people of your state, not your benefactors.

This budget you are proposing is cruel. You want to cut Medicare as well as Medicaid. I see you are considering lowering the pretax amount people can contribute to their retirement . You are squeezing the poor and middle class for the benefit of those who have enough money so they don't have to worry about healthcare or retirement. Shame on the Republicans.
