I no longer shop in ANY of the Amesbury Co-op stores. I strongly feel they are holding the town of Amesbury back by not developing the old store, it's an eyesore, Amesbury deserves more!

Budgens was a good shop and a nice change from Co-op. The Co-op food is expensive and simply does not last so i have not been to one for two years in protest. It is seriously starting to look like corruption in the town council...how can Co-op get away with so much...somebody MUST be on the take here.

this is getting ridiculous now, having three Co-ops was enough, i dont see why we should get another one!

Since the Tesco store opened I have never set foot in the co-op so why do we need another one. We what a choice in Amesbury. If this does go ahead we will need to chage the sign on the A303 to read welcome to co-op town

There is little varitety, and the Co-op exploits the elderly who cannot drive to tesco.

We are a small town and we need a bit of variety!!! The local coucil are trying to encourage us to shop local..... this is NOT going to happen if all we have is the Co-Op!!!

I agree that the Co-op should do something with their old store before opening other stores in the area

We need Co-Op to sort out the hideous wreck that they have in Amesbury at the moment before being allowed to further monopolise trade in the area. It's about time Co-op and Tesco were given some competition!

Amesbury needs a fresh face, this is the last thing we need, yet another failing Co-op store, who approves this I would like to know?the people of Amesbury are NEVER listened to, we wanted Asda we got Tescos no wonder Amesbury is dying on it's feet. Amesbury has been held to ransom long enough by the Co-op, no move should be approved until they sort out what to do with that old Co-op building which is a blight to anyone visiting Amesbury let alone us who live here.

4 Co- ops in Amesbury, what the hell for ? They are over priced and rubbish anyway, what happened to Asda's plans to come here ? Boycott Co Op and use Tesco and Lidl. Pressure should be put on Co op to sort out the old store it is an eyesore, at a time when people are working hard to give Amesbury a boost.

Talk about monoply of trade. so much for giving people a choice. If the co-op want to be oligopoly, why not boycott the stores!

I think another co-op is not good as it does not give the shopper sufficient choice of items other than their own
