No, enough liquor stores in the community already. Rather add more hospitality outlets for Waterview and Pt Chev to enjoy.

As a resident who lives in Westmere (next to pPoint Chev) I completely agree this will be detrimental for the community. Question being : Why in this day and age when addiction is such a problem is it even being considered? And how on any level will it enhance this neighbourhood ?

I note that within 500m of this proposed site there are a number of sensitive healthcare facilities including those serving a particularly vulnerable population including those with mental health and addiction issues. Opening another and closer liquor store within their community exposes them to more harm. People receiving help from these facilities frequently visit this local community as a part of their treatment and rehabilitation and they are especially vulnerable to harm from alcohol. Increasing the availability of alcohol within an already well-serviced community only amplifies the social harm (there are already 5 outlets selling off-licence alcohol within 500m FFS!). No! No! No! And! No!

Please no more liquor stores. As a suburb we are well serviced with enough outlets to purchase liqor currently and with recent police activity with youths and car chases in the area having another outlet would probably not be conducive to a safer community.

Absolutely no need for another liquor outlet - there are too many as it is.
