It has been brought to my attention that a large firm with over 200 shops in England is moving right next door. Does the community really need another new barber moving right next door to an already existing barber shop.

I just looked at the screen and saw 500 signatures which honestly feels like a strange dream because I remember standing in the shop yesterday wondering if anyone else cared about this giant firm moving in. It is wild to think so many people actually want to keep the small businesses here instead of just handing the block over to a corporation that already has hundreds of shops.

I've been a barber for over 40 years working in same shop in South Shields Turkish barbers are now in every corner undercutting working all hours its killing the British.barbering shops
I do not want to see Kingsley's barber shop under threat of closure due to an unecessary rival barbers setting up in close proximity. It's important to support this small business that is from & serves the community.
local buisnesess getiing shoved out by bigger firms isnt there a legestration in wich your not allowed to open hairdressers or barbers with in 250 yards of each other ?
Support Kingsley, at the nook you look after your own we don't need another Turkish barbers 30 seconds walk away from the other one, nd this is in no way offence too anyone thats already there we just don't need another local businesses need help more than the chains do!
Why move another barber next door to an already established local lad who has been of good service to the local community for years ,he’s a small business trying to make an honest living and this could damage him financially , shocking .

Big businesses in a small town is not beneficial to the local residents and small busines owners, the revenue from the large businesses wouldn’t be going back into the local economy but back into their own pockets. Small business owners need a break or there’s not going to be any unique and interesting small local businesses. More small shops mean more jobs and cash being spent in the north east. More money being made and spent the better the local economy.

It's out of order. How can the Council let a barber open next to a barber. The guy has a family and bills to pay. It's all wrong. Everyone in business around Kingsleys shop should be asked as they do with alcohol licenses. DON'T OPEN THE NEW BARBERS.
