What a lousy idea building apartments right in the middle of town, affecting what is left of our rural feel and taxing already over-taxed utilities, water supplies, and roads. School property needs to be left alone for possible future school requirements. This "foot in the door" approach will be just the beginning of massive development on the rest of the vacant land south of Rte. 101. Give a developer control of his own bank and we'll look just like Massachusetts or New Jersey. We don't need it, we don't want it. Give this inside job the "heave-ho", pronto.

I choose this community for its schools and it’s lack of apartments and multi family dwellings. Adding more apartments will add more people who potentially have children who will go to our schools but are not paying for the schools as the renters are not paying any property tax. I do not wish to fund those who are not contributing funding themselves to our community

We moved to Bedford 21 years ago because we liked the country feel. Have already seen enough growth recently, please stop the apartments.

It is shameful to allow private developments to access publicly funded facilities. Bedford schools are publicly funded by tax payers and private developers should not be allowed to use any part of this facility Sewage, water , septic system or any thing else. having said that this is a futile attempt to stop this developer, he is politically connected, One would think that after having been in public office he would do what is best for this town, but he doesn't care. The school board will fully comply with his request. and we tax payers will be partly funding his patents complex. good luck stopping him.

If you need to build apartments, please keep them on the commercial end of Bedford (S. River Road). We don't need huge apartments all over town, and our traffic situation is bad enough as it is without wedging more people into ever-smaller spaces! The layout of the town is already a bit "odd", why are we considering making it worse?

Rather see 55+ condo development such as Amherst’s proposed 28 units to avoid need for additional resources. The Town Council will be asking for expanded police, library, fire resources already without more apartment complexes. Remember, more apartments have been approved at old Macy’s site.

This complex is a disaster for Bedford residents. Not needed and funded by special and outside interests that do not serve the taxpayers of Bedford. Do not let Bedford be urbanized!!!

As a lifelong resident of Bedford, it saddens me to see all the development in a town that had no traffic lights and many dirt roads and farms. What used to take me 5 minutes to get to now takes 30.

I support thoughtful growth that echos the community and resident’s wishes and beliefs. I don’t support just throwing apartments in calling it growth. There is minimal gain for small communities to support this type of “growth”.

I don't wish to see our town turn into a city. We love Bedford's small town feel and do not want more apartments, especially so close to 2 schools. I am concerned about the school impact and also wildlife impact. Just yesterday there was a bear running around near the kids triathlon at BHS. If we develop the whole town where does our wildlife go? If we have apartments located near our schools are all the residents going to have background checks done on them? Many children walk down Chestnut every day and I'm also concerned about safety.

I agree with the other comments regarding rural feel/ aesthetics, burden on schools, traffic impact. Once something is built, it can't be "unbuilt", but it can be changed into other types of housing which increases my concern.
