The population will increase exponentially because more household is squeezed into smaller footprint. Increased households means more occupant in public buildings (schools, libraries, auditoriums). More occupants will mean increased student to teacher ratio therefore less quality of education. More occupants means existing facilities that provide cooling, heating, ventilation/oxygen) will no longer have sufficient capacity, therefore the environment of the occupants/our children will no longer be conducive for keeping ones physical health/learning. More occupants means the existing safety features (e.g. safety egress) of our public buildings will no longer meet code requirements and will be required to upgrade which will mean additional budget/taxes. More occupants means existing facilities (plumbing; stadium; auditoriums) will have more users, more users will result to increased frequency of failure/maintenance, more personnel required to maintain therefore increased budget/taxes. More households will mean increased traffic on our roads that will compete for space with our joggers, bikers, families, elders on the road. Keep Bedford a SMALL town. NO to APARTMENTS!

Apartment complex should be along
Route 3, Sufficient research should be done before more apartment are built along the performance zone. The infrastructure should be modified (not at the cost of the taxpayers) to support population increase.

Seems like a really sweet money deal for the developers at the expense of the town. We do not need more apartments. We need to preserve the interior of the town, preserve the green space we have and recommit to lowering our taxes not increasing them significantly. The schools are over crowded the roads are gridlock and they want to put another 1000 people at the epicenter because of the situation. Bedford is a premium town to live in for a reason but it wont be for long if the town leaders are unwilling to stand up to these two developers and the money grabbing opportunists who do not have the interest of our town at heart. I also love the developers response to the opposition. It sounded like something you would hear in Washington as they try to shame, guild and disparage anyone Bedford citizen who disagrees with them despite having legitimate concerns.

At some point, the quality of life for existing residents needs to take precedence over the few creating said developments for personal financial gain. There is no argument valid enough to convince me that overwhelming school systems and other services at such an alarming rate is beneficial for any communiity.

It is also offensive to say that teachers will live There. All the teachers I know have families and live in houses.
