amen! I don't believe most people on campus can work their schedule in order to get 16 hours without going over and still take enough hours per semester to graduate on time! People on the 130 hour degree should be able to take 17 hours without paying.

I am a music major. 18 hours a semester is seen as the usual. Anything less and you may not graduate on time.

I find that the financial reality of the situation is compounded by the fact that students weren't made aware of this process except through the rumor mill. We get information regarding every possible way to support and "plug in" to life at Lee, but don't get notified regarding limits to class size? Most universities I know of have an 18 hour limit. In order to complete the full 130 hours that many are sticking with, with no prior credits or summer school courses, we would need to take 16.25 credits per semester, at least. That doesn't even include courses you choose to take for a minor. I feel a process of the 120 hour program should be integrated into Lee policy and only after all students are participating in that program, should Lee make us pay extra to take a 17th hour. Another possible solution could be that students still on the 130 program could receive a refund for their 17th credit hour. I feel either of these options would be graceful solutions to this dilema. That being said, students should show a certain amount of grace to the admin.

For students staying in the 130 program, they should have the ability to take 17 hours. I have a lot of friends who are currently in the 17 hour range, and that's where they have to stay especially if they are music or science majors. I feel as if this is a turn off, which is sad because Lee is such a great university!

As someone who changed their major after a year, I find this particularly upsetting. I was already planning on having to take 18 hours for a couple semesters in order to graduate on time, but now that will be an extra 2 hours instead of only 1. I would have liked to have been made aware of this change.

The fact that we are having to take a certain amount of credits to graduate, and that they are raising out tuition I do not see why we cannot keep the credits as they were. It is not like Lee is running out of money, and not like the student populous is dropping. If it is then why increase tuition, and lower credit hours? It will only ward of future students and drive current students away.
