Support Local Control of Education - Get Missouri Out Of Common Core

Common Core is little more than funny money numbers in an attempt to micro manage education while holding Federal dollars at bay. A way to say "We are doing better!" on paper while actually delivering a product that is so substandard that our children will suffer from it for years to come.

Common core is killing my children's love of math!

Common core standards as they exist right now are not going to make our children college ready or do anything except dummy down an entire generation.

Common core is not wanted in MO!!

Teachers need to have more flexibility in their classrooms, not less. Their hands are already bound too tightly. Common Core is NOT the answer.

Stop common core it will not benefit our children.

Keep the Federal Government and its controls out of our educational system. In fact, the less Federal Government intrusion in our lives the better!

I am terrified of sending my now 19 month old daughter to public schools due to the manipulation of thought through politics that Common Core represents. Common Core is not my family's "Common Core" beliefs, and for this, I will not support it. I do not believe my daughter should be required to read books at a young age that represent pornography as art and rape as literature. I am offended that she should be required to discuss gender expression and identity in a very young classroom setting where she should be learning shapes, colors and playing outside in fresh air. How much more will be shoved down our throat and in our face? No more for me, I have had enough. I will speak for my daughter as her voice will never be heard, which is the intention of the political involvement within classrooms as a whole.

The Federal Government is already too involved in our lives, and we are not any better for it; rather, our country has been made worse.

The Feds are giving themselves unconstitutional power at all levels. Bill Gates is the money behind common core and I don't remember anyone electing him to anything? The media is not on the peoples side, they are not interested in the truth, just the agenda of the the left. there are two sides to every story and the media only pushes the lefts bias.

I have never been informed that my children were learning from books that are Common Core based. The Federal Government has NO RIGHT to DICTATE what my children will learn!!!

The federal government has been incrementally taking away our rights for years, but now it is full steam ahead. We must stop it now!
