Support Local Control of Education - Get Missouri Out Of Common Core

Common Core is NOT OK. The federal government should not be allowed to interfere in controlling what is taught in our classrooms. Let us return to our state and local school boards and continue to teach our children to think for themselves. It is their futures that are at stake here and can affect them for the remainder of their lives. Stop Common Core NOW!

State and City education boards should have some say and input in what is being taught and how their teachers are evaluated. It shouldn't be taken out of their hands.

I am opposed to Common Core and its agenda. Our children deserve a good education that will benefit them their entire life.

Common Core Is a serious indoctrination of our young children. The future of America is in real trouble.It does not teach our children to think for themselves. It also teaches them what to think not how. The agenda of this Common Core is unmoral. This is a form of slavery and the takeover parents rights over their children. Government approved for the sake of the might dollar. Not for the sake of our children. Please as a parent or grandparent. do your homework on Common Core and take action..God bless.

I am currently a junior in highschool and I am part of a homeschool group, but this is only because the school I was at before implemented Common Core! I had 1 year of the english class and it was not good! thank you so much for what you're doing!

I am appalled at the Common Core standards that would recommend our high school students read pornography. The standards were developed by people who have never taught children. They expect too much of the students at too early an age. Some developmental skills needed are not developed yet making it very stressful. Children are not wanting to go to school or are physically sick because of the stress put upon them. Let them be "kids" and they will learn what they need to at the appropriate time and will be a lot healthier mentally and physically. Retired Teacher

We do not need the government to control everything in our lives. The people we have voted into office seem to have a problem with fixing problems, they have made it personal and that is evil. We are headed to a complete control by our government.

Our children's education should Not be from the top down Federal issue but of local and at the most, state control.

Our education should never be put in the hands of the federal government. Local control is so important to maintain the standards we have enjoyed in this country.

Fight to STOP Common Core, please help us protect our children!!

My daughter's education has rapidly gone down hill since FHSD has started implementing Common Core. The children are confused, frustrated and demoralized by this curriculum and it must be reversed. The US has dropped even more in Science and Math scores worldwide in the past several years. Missouri needs to halt this Government over reach into our children's lives and their dubious futures with a sub standard education.

Common Core is evil ...

The process by which this CCSSI was brought into existence is an affront to the rule of law, the undermining of 3 Federal Laws and the circumventing of the Missouri State Constitution Standards(6) on Education that sets direction, and policy for the development of education standards that guide our teachers in educating our children.

We, as parents and citizens expect and demand better!! This Common Core is simply outrageous and not okay for my children's education!!!!
